ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I am a 4th generation San Francisco Bay Area native, growing up mostly in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and living in Cupertino since graduating from Santa Clara University. My career has included software applications analysis and strategic planning.

When my children were in school, I found myself championing the arts, first piloting an arts curriculum, then becoming one of many volunteer teachers after the program went school-wide. I later supported the beginning of a district-wide music program with grant writing. I finally found my own artistic expression through photography.

After 15 years serving as photographer for sports teams, church, and special events, I am finding new joy in creative photography.
