ARTIST'S STATEMENTRagini Prasad operates from her San Francisco Bay Area studio, specializing in contemporary art. She holds accreditation as a Mithila artist from the National Institute of Mithila Art in Bihar, India. Additionally, she expanded her skills by exploring Abstract art at Stanford University, California. Her work seamlessly blends traditional techniques with contemporary compositions, reflecting the vibrancy of California landscapes and the essence of San Francisco. In her words, “California landscapes paintings capture the enchanting beauty of the state's diverse coastal vistas. From the rugged cliffs of Big Sur to the golden sands of Malibu, I have been drawn to the ever-changing interplay of light, water, and land. These paintings showcase the dramatic contrasts between the deep blue Pacific Ocean and the lush greenery of coastal vegetation. Sunsets cast a warm, ethereal glow over the scene, while super blooms lend a dynamic energy to the compositions.
